Analyzing social networks to inform talent management –Adam Mckinnon (Merck)

Social networks are an important lever in employer branding. However, LinkedIn’s 2020 Global Talent Trends Report indicated that the analysis of networks was limited to only 14% of organizations participating in their research. This presentation will provide examples of how Merck KGaA is using non-traditional sources of data to create social networks, analyze this content, and use insights generated to inform Talent Management decisions.

Storytelling for business – Jonathan Batty  (IBM Europe)

All organizations have to communicate in order to survive and thrive in the information age. But how to do it in a way that compels your stakeholders to believe in you, support you and sends your messages viral? The ancient art of storytelling has come back into vogue and all organizations large and small are trying to incorporate storytelling techniques into their marketing and communications strategies.

But how to do this effectively? What are the benefits and pitfalls? What makes a good story, how do you find it and tell it in a way that achieves your business goals? What’s the different between storytelling for external and internal stakeholders? This presentation will provide insight and tips to help you design and implement storytelling campaigns more effectively.
