We are proud to announce that the first of its kind survey in Bulgaria for the most preferred employer among the students is already a fact! The Graduate Survey was conducted between March 15 and May 19, 2017. Over 7,000 students from 51 universities in Bulgaria took part in it.

Students ranked their top 50 companies for 2017 as the top 3 are:

1. Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria 
2. IBM Bulgaria Ltd.
3. Hewlett Packard

At a time of strong demand for high-quality talents in Bulgaria and a high youth unemployment rate, this analysis will help companies understand the preferences and expectations of the students. The information that students have filled in the survey is available as an individual analysis for each company.

Thanks to this, companies can easily identify which are their strengths and areas for improvement. Another advantage of this analysis is that students declare their preferred channels of communication so companies can understand how to attract more ambitious students and how to adequately allocate their budget.

The study shows that students increasingly choose employers with “structured internship”, “strong vision and corporate culture”, “leader in their sector” and “good prospects for future development”. These are the indicators that determine whether a student will prefer to work in one company or another.

The biggest problem faced by the students is the low level of awareness of the “opportunities this company offers”. This is evidence of poorly developed communication channels in Bulgaria.

The survey provides all the benchmarks that Bulgarian businesses need to focus on in order to solve their problems with the recruitment of young staff and to retain the quality personnel in Bulgaria.
